This weekend was really busy. It was my second weekend with a Friday booked off and we made good use of it with a trip to the Metro Toronto Zoo. The boys and Selena, the little girl that my wife babysits, had a great time. The new Kids Zone complete with splash park and childrens Zoo were awesome and best of all, all three kids each got a pony ride.

Saturday we took it easy and just hung out around the house.

Sunday we went for a picnic lunch at Queenston Heights on the Niagara Parkway. The Lincoln Concert Band was playing so we watched them for awhile. The wading pool was closed for renovations so the kids had to settle for a trip to the playground instead. Next we went for a quick visit with my Aunt Wanda. She's doing well, but noticeably worried sick about her sister, my Aunt Genny.

After the visit, we went for ice cream at the Avondale Dairy in Niagara-on-the-lake. It was our first time out to the dairy this summer and we sat in the sun and watched the kids swing on the swings.

So it was a good weekend for the kids. Hopefully it will be a weekend that they will remember.
